Community Involvement

As lifelong residents of Flint, Michigan, its revitalization is of particular significance to WTS, which is a second-generation company. The majority of the owners and employees have lived and raised children in the City of Flint, so they have a direct link with the community.

WTS is eager to participate in any project that seeks to enhance urban cities by ensuring preservation and revitalization. Our philosophy is “progress by participation.” We consider ourselves contributing members of any community in which we work. We are a section-three business enterprise and as such have always provided employment to community residents. In addition, we have participated in providing training opportunities for young people to assist in this move toward economic growth and sufficiency as well as community revitalization. These programs will allow WTS to further lend support that enables residents to live comfortably and enhances the viability of our neighborhoods.

Testimonials

Darius Stevens

" Very unfortunate that we have to even have this issue, it’s a disaster. It’s also blessing to be able to have a positive impact on his community, and to be able to work with your family to change lives. Unfortunately, this is happening everywhere to be on the groundbreaking level is certainly and opportunity. No house left behind. "

Bernarr Jackson

" This has impacted our community in a huge way. The residents of Flint are scared and lack trust in their government. More than just a physical tragedy, it emotional. There is also great opportunity to contribute to the community. We have been able to hire and inspired many people into great careers, that may have never thought of getting into this line of work. "
